More about
The Project

Inspired by recent events and the lived experiences of women resisting oppression across the world, Honey By a Thread imagines a dystopian society where women are stripped of their most basic human rights and forced into silence.

At the center of the story is Emine, a young woman on the run after defying the regime’s oppressive laws. As she seeks refuge among a hidden network of resistance fighters, she must confront the trauma of her past and decide whether she has the courage to stand and fight for freedom.

Through memory, dreams, and moments of quiet rebellion, Honey By a Thread explores the power of solidarity among women, the cost of resistance, and the fragile hope that survives even under the most brutal systems of control.

This proof-of-concept film serves as the foundation for a planned narrative feature, expanding the world of the story and the growing resistance that threatens the regime.
